Overview

Hello World is now searching for the next generation of managers! We are looking for dedicated volunteers to lead and run our summer camp program Hello World which is dedicated to teach web development to our underrepresented youth. The program aims to both excite and enlighten students who are not normally exposed to actual code. If you are not familiar with the program, please read about it here. Explore our website to gain a sense of our organization’s mission and goal. Part of our mission is to provide leadership opportunities. The manager and assistant manager will have the unique opportunity to take the reins of a program that serves around a hundred of students and 20+ volunteers. Do not be intimidated if you have never directed a program before. We especially welcome high schoolers and college students to apply.

Overseeing one of Bit by Bit's main programs is a large responsibility. The estimated hours for the position are around 3 to 5 hours a week during the spring and up to 10 hours during the summer. Of course, the hours are flexible and dependent on manager availability. This position lasts until the end of summer 2022. We will be asking for a reference on the application, but this reference does not need to be too formal. We understand with current circumstances and by nature of age, not everyone will have previous work experience and we do not want that to stop anyone from applying. The reference can be a teacher, mentor, or anybody else who you believe will be able to speak to your abilities as a team player and leader, along with providing insight into your organizational skills and work ethic.
